In your final quarter of your high school experience, there are many challenges and obstacles that can divert your focus from the prize – graduation. Currently, we have 694 students in the Class of 2008; we want all seniors to graduate. With prom and graduation coming, you must continue to strive for excellence in your behavior and academic achievement. Your parents and I want you to make good choices and not get involved in any activity where you may lose the privilege of participating in prom and the graduation ceremony.
Senior exams are scheduled on May 23 – 29 and the last day for seniors is May 30.
Keep up the good job by continuing to:
§ Demonstrate that this graduating class has unity and respect for the school, staff, and student population.
§ Follow the school policies and procedures as outlined in the agenda book.
§ Demonstrate appropriate behavior in school and community.
§ Refrain from activities that disrupt the educational program during the instructional day.
§ Attend school and classes on time and refrain from losing credit in class because of skipping or failure to bring in a note within three days of the absence or tardy.
§ Work hard to meet the requirements for your classes, including English 12B class.
§ Prepare to receive high marks on projects, assessments, assignments, and final examinations.
§ Review your transcript and the number of earned course credit hours and student service learning hours.
The staff and I are excited about your accomplishments and we look forward to the many events and activities scheduled for you during this semester. I am looking forward to attending prom and graduation and awarding each of you a high school diploma on June 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Comcast Center. Have a successful second semester.
