PTSA BoD Meeting

Dave called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

All members are reminded to CLEARLY print their name on the sign-in sheet for each meeting.

The minutes for the January BoD meeting were approved as corrected.

After Prom: B&N Update -- $2097.77 was received from the December Barnes and Noble AfterProm Fundraiser.

Treasurer's Report: Nancy announced that she has paid out for the liability insurance and bonding coverage through MCCPTA and paid for the printing of the PTSA banners.  All Booster organization payouts were made, as well as academic achievement and the Basketball scholarship pass through.  It was noted that Linda Wanner has been asked to be the contact for all outstanding earmarked PTSA funds.  She is attempting to gather information about money promised, but not yet requested.

Painless FundRaising:  Carol reported that all 2007 Sniders' Receipts were keyed by volunteer Ernie Weisman totaling $107,000, which will provide at reimbursement of 10% or $1070.  Giant Bonus Bucks paid to the school currently total $3675 via direct deposit.  eScrip has paid directly to the PTSA $2048 plus the $1000 summer bonus.  The Target and Office Depot programs pay directly to the school.  Carol noted that she is still trying to get someone, including a school organization to take over both the inkjet and cell phone recycling programs.  These programs could be profitable to a school club if managed.  Currently the programs are unmanaged.

Directory:  The student directory has been created and emailed to all PTSA listserve parents.  It is not posted on the listserve area.  No free printing option has been discovered although many suggestions have been researched.  Debbie Reed-Gillette is investigating the option of posting the directory in the Blair only area of Edline with Mr. Hammond.

Nominating Committee:  One more member of the nominating committee is still needed.  Dave and Ron McClain are still looking for one additional volunteer.
