Attendees:

- Meeting started at 7:40pm.
- Minutes from November meeting approved.
- 10,000$ to minigrant given to Donna Franklin.
- Membership is in good standing.
- MCCPTA lost the membership check.  Walter is still working out.  We did not get to vote because at the meetings due to that.
- Citrus sale - Truck due to arrive Thursday around noon.  We are very much same as last year.
- Minigrants - People need to pick the money.  We would move it if not used.
- Barnes and Noble - Sales down.  This was the money towards After-Prom.  We may need to put more money towards that.
- Volunteer Coordinator: Need people for Interim, for Academy Day.
- Next Tuesday.  PSAT scores carry back at Advisory.  School uses PSAT to test academic progress and is a practice for SAT.  The fees are out of school budget.
- Blair passes AYP.
- Request to PTA to support ESOL fundraiser.  We don't have money to support.  We already have the new mother's group - to provide for car seats.  School PTA should not get involved.  May consider December PTA meeting to combine with ESOL fundraiser.
- Processes are in place for student discipline.  The students involved get expelled from school.  County does not have special skills to handle kids with problems.  Mentoring to be promoted - soliciting parents to do mentoring, basic socialization, group activity, vocational stuff, Book clubs etc.  What the kids need most is attention and show love.  We need to fight for vocation courses and add parents for existing clubs.
- Peer tutoring during lunchtime has begun.  Math Dept. has 300 students that need help.  A teacher/parent needed during lunches.
- Math Dept said TI needed stats to give free calculators to students.  Dave Ottalini is the grant person to be contacted regarding this.
- Dec 16th PTA meeting is a short meeting with holiday party.
- Exec board meeting Jan 1st week.
- Meeting adjourned at 8:30pm.
