PTSA Executive Board Meeting

Present: Debra Reed-Gillette, Deborah Stoll, Dave Ottalini, Carol Smalls, Melissa Yorks, Gail Peck, Karen Orloff, Sonya Mallinoff, Miriam Szapiro, Sam Stokes, Barry Johnson, Elissa Lichtenstein, Bonnie Malkin

Deborah called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Deborah welcomed all present and adjustments to the agenda were made.

Visitation Day is Monday October 9. PTSA will need volunteers to staff a table or tables providing refreshments, handbooks, membership forms, and most of all a welcoming presence.

All were reminded that a 3 rd After Prom chairperson is needed.

Questions on IDs and transcript packages for students applying to colleges with early rolling admissions were tabled until the membership meeting.

Barry Johnson announced that Yahoo has a way to edit memberships in the list to allow for special announcements only. It would be a viable alternative as it would be easy to manage. Only select individuals would be able to post special announcements, and those listserve members requesting this service would get only special announcements. Barry will research further this option for those list members who will not/cannot manage their own list options on Yahoo. The first time we could announce this possible service to the parents would be the January Blazer.
