The meeting came to order at 6:45 p.m.
Membership Report Caroly Lichtenstein
1. The committee needs expansion and ideas. The next executive board
meeting will spend some time addressing membership issues.
2. Carolyn is looking into making membership available through the website,
doing a database and privacy issues in posting the names of the members on
the website.
Pedestrian Issues Sam Stokes
1. The cones placed in the parking lot to keep people from forming 2 rows
of cars in the exit lane from the Colesville parking lot is working. The
staff , especially the security staff, like the new procedure. It has been
an inexpensive solution to a very dangerous problem.
2. The University Boulevard parking lot problem requires engineering
solutions and a study for a long term solution. In the meantime, it calls
for police presence to insure compliance with the rules.
3. A request for signs could also help people become more compliant.
Old Blair Auditorium David Ottalini
1. David Ottalini moved and Anne Kaiser seconded that a letter be sent by
the PTSA in support of the renovation of the Old Blair Auditorium. It
passed unanimously.
Ron McClain
1. In support of the Blair Sports Academy, a committee on Extra Curricular
Activities could be established.
2. The drug and alcohol policy at Blair is very strict for athletes but why
is it only for athletes? The code for Blair is more strict than other high
schools.
3. How clear is it being made that Connections is an option in the 9th
grade?

1. There has been some progress.
2 parent lawyers have shown interest in
getting things moving. There are also several alumni and there are more
people interested.
